We have decided to aim our opening titles of our film for the Cert '15'. This is due to the genre of our film being of a psychological thriller, therefore referring to more of an intelligent text and narrative and stereotypically not being understood or appreciated by those of a younger audience. Those pieces that are aimed at the elder '18' audience usually include sexually explicit scenes, strong language, violence, horror references, etc... Therefore, this doesn't refer to our piece and seems too extreme for our narrative. However, a Cert 12 would only include some minor strong language, as well as sexual references, which appears too soft core for our piece. Therefore, we've agreed that the '15' audience would be appropriate. On top of the educational based reference, we have also decided our film would include some varied language, as well as minor horror scenes. The demographics for our piece, overall, would be of the 16-28 years generation.
